October, 2015, Jews and the Folk Music Revival

Cantor Solomon and Cantor Jeff Klepper developed a program on Jews and the Folk Music Revival, which they presented October 18, 2015 at the Jewish Museum of Maryland. The multi-media production was viewed by a large audience in conjunction with their Paul Simon exhibit.

April, 2015, El Malei in Washington, D.C.

Cantor Solomon sang the memorial prayer, El Malei for the Holocaust Memorial Service at the nation's Capitol on April 16, 2015.

July, 2010, Jubilee Artist-In-Residence

During July, 2010, Cantor Solomon traveled to Australia for three weeks to be the Jubilee Artist-In-Residence, a program sponsored by the World Union for Progressive Judaism. Included in the programming was a Gala Jubilee Concert on July 25 in Sydney, as well as workshops and master classes throughout his stay.

April 30, 2010, Music As Midrash

On April 30, Cantor Robbie Solomon was the Renaissance scholar-in-residence at Temple Sinai in Summit N.J. He was invited to speak about his music in a talk entitled "Music As Midrash". The synagogue choir performed several of his pieces.

February 6, 2009, Shabbat Shirah

Cantor Robbie Solomon will be featured as the composer-in-residence at Congregation B'nai Israel in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Cantor Solomon will be in attendance.

Cantor Solomon's Friday night service, Zimrat Shalom, will receive its 20th anniversary performance at Congregation Neveh Shalom in Portland, OR.

March 15, 2009, The Metro-West Jewish Choral Festival of New Jersey

The Metro-West Jewish Choral Festival of New Jersey will feature a new composition, Or Zarua Latzadik (Ps. 97) written by Cantor Robbie Solomon for the occasion.

March 15, 2009, at Congregation Beth Elohim

At Congregation Beth Elohim of Acton, MA, the temple choir will debut Elohai N'shama ("The Soul You have given us is pure"), one of the morning prayers. The piece was written by Robbie Solomon to honor the long and continuing service of Rabbi Lewis and Naomi Mintz for the congregation and the Jewish community.

Release of Song book and CD

The 2007 Bienniel of the Union of Reform Judaism marked the release of the Robbie Solomon Collection Vol. 1 along with the an accompanying CD, called “Forever Blessed”. The songbook and CD were the most recent productions of Robbie’s works featuring some of his most beloved works for the synagogue. The Orphan Queen

A concert setting of the Orphan Queen, Robbie’s full length musical based on the book of Esther, is being presented at three Massachusetts synagogues in March of 2008. On Saturday March 22 7:30 PM at Temple Kerem Shalom of Concord; Sunday, March 23 at 2:00 PM at Temple Isaiah of Lexington; and Sunday, March 23 at 7:00 PM at Temple Beth Zion of Brookline, the play will be produced with Reb Moshe Waldoks as King Ahashverosh, Rosalie Gerut as Vashti, Robbie Solomon as Mordechai, David Mitchell as Haman, and introducing Anika Benkov as Esther. Other participants will join from the congregational choirs along with an ensemble of local musicians.

The play has seen many productions over the years, since it’s expansion into a full-length musical in 1997. Most notably was a 20-performance run at the Jewish Theatre of New England in 1999. The Atlanta Service

For the 30th Anniversary of the founding of Temple Emanu-El of Atlanta, GA, Robbie Solomon was commissioned to write a new setting for the Friday night service. The service will debut on Friday night March 14, 2008 at Temple Emanu-El with Cantor Ben Adler and his choirs. Robbie will be in attendance to explain the composition of the music. Robbie feels that this service maintains the integrity of the liturgy while presenting the popular participatory model of music found in so many contemporary synagogues. Samples of the service music will be added to this site after the debut.
